Since the pandemic's start, one of our goals has been to support local and small businesses whenever we have the opportunity. While air travel gives you the chance to explore the world, we've found that there is so much more to see in our backyard.
The first thing you need to do is plan a staycation that allows you to venture without going totally off the beaten path.

- In the morning, sleep in and enjoy a late checkout (noon)
- A coupon for a free cinnamon roll from Silver Grill Cafe
I haven't listened to music on a record player in quite a long time, and I turned on the Victrola no more than 10 minutes into our stay. I was impressed by having the ability to listen to music this way and how the acoustics of the room were a perfect match for the sound!
Now, we all know that Fort Collins is a mecca for beer enthusiasts. Remington Flats has harnessed the draw of the brewing scene in the city by welcoming you with two local beers in your fridge to start your stay. I was lucky enough to enjoy the Silver Lion from Horse & Dragon Brewing and the Wellington American Lager from Soul Squared Brewing in Wellington.
Annie and Doug have also partnered with local businesses such as Ku Cha House of Tea and Dazbog Coffee to provide even more local treats for your stay.
Now you must be wondering how was the sleep that we got both nights. I can put this simply in one word: DREAMY.
I have stayed in many lodging options over the last 20 years, but Remington Flats beds are, by far, the best sleep I have had when away from home. The memory foam comfort contoured directly to my body to allow me a night of sleep that had me refreshed for the entire next day.
We all know that staycationing can be expensive when you add in the amount of dining out you can do. How many of us have said, in our previous travels, "if I only had a kitchen that would allow me to make a home-cooked meal?" At Remington Flats, that question will never come up as each studio comes with a fully appointed eat-in kitchen with a full stove and oven. Annie and Doug have also thought about all of the needs that may arise while in the kitchen, and they didn't miss anything! All your utensils are neatly stored throughout the space, and if anything is needed, you can reach out to them, and they'll be able to assist you.
Remember earlier when I said that Annie and Doug have thought about everything to help make their guests stay more enjoyable? That is not only contained to the inside of your room. It also is seen in everything that is designed and put together outside.
Whether it's the fire pit area where you can gather with your family or meet new friends (ask Remington Flats about the Fireside S'mores package), the common areas to enjoy a fantastic Fort Collins night, or the secure parking behind the building, nothing has been missed to make this the most memorable staycation you've had.
